Was in for a pint and a food and really disappointed. Heard this was a great place, struggled to get anyone to man the bar, it was an about 12pm but could see the staff kept going outside for a fag. The bar staff who greeted us sounded like we were an inconvenience being there.Ordered a steak sandwich which was lovely but asked for medium rare, this was more well done with bits medium rare.Shame as we had gone into decide if we wanted to stay in the future. Hopefully this was just a one off.

Visited this lovely pub, so nice I visited it twice. Good beer selection, along with good food. Very nice helpful people looking after you. Well worth a visit.

Great location on Loch Long, stunning views. Bar/restaurant area has a nice atmosphere, wooden in decor with lots of bits and pieces. Fairy lights in restaurant just add to the final touch. Dinner was good, chicken starter was delicious. Fish and chips was ok. Service was attentive. Room - toilet had the tape over the lid but a big chunk of blue roll down the toilet.... Had to resort to taking out by hand! It was never going to flush away. Water nice and hot, pressure in shower generally good, unfortunately the shower screen doesn't stop the water soaking the floor. Room was a decent size. Nice tea and coffee stand. Bed comfortable. Liked the fact that there was two chairs in the room. Unfortunately, we both had a terrible sleep, could hear the people above us, plus a humming and thumping sound (made me think of a helicopter) on and off throughout the night and a tapping. Breakfast was ok, croissant was delicious, nice brown bread for toast. The fried breakfast was nothing special. Didn't enjoy the square sausage, like a pork pattie. In fact for the first time in 25 years, hubby didn't finish his!! No chance to say about noise and blue roll on leaving as we weren't asked about our stay. Overall, would stay again, in a different room and different breakfast choice.

Had a lovely warm, clean and cosy stay for a night at The Village Inn. We arrived at 8pm after a long drive and was greeted by wonderfully kind and friendly staff. Would recommend this to everyone I know. Super dog friendly too! Breakfast and dinner all good value and decent. Thanks for a great stay!

Popped in for a spot of lunch and was served by a delightfull waitress named alex. She couldn't have been more attentive and was on point with her service, aswell as giving me great advice on where to walk in the area. She is a credit to this lovely restaurant. Food was good and would recommend.

Absolutely brilliant pub, amazing food and staff combined with fantastic scenery. Alex was great when serving us, food came out quickly and we all felt very welcome, especially our pup! Will definitely be back!

The irony of stinking like wet dog, yet not allowing dogs into the restaurant was not lost on us. We booked through their automated robot and requested a table for 9 with a dog. We arrived and were rudely told they didn’t allow dogs into that area, even though we had explicitly said on the phone. It wouldn’t take 2 minutes to go back to our accommodation to leave the dog but the way we were spoken to was inexcusable

Came to the Inn for some dinner. Steak was cooked brilliantly, very tasty and my daughter had the macaroni which she soon polished off. Sticky Toffee pudding was delicious. Staff and management very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.

My visit totally based on the reviews on Google and booking.com: Unfortunately my experience is not good. No one follow complains. I made 2 complains: Room radiator not working and continuous sound of boiler/ motor for whole night. No one bother to follow up/ visit. Dinner menu 50% short, some limited items available. No doubt location is very good but not worth full on the cost of sleepless whole night. Not considered next time.

We came to eat lunch while travelling around Loch Lomond and found this along the way. We were seated and the atmosphere was typically pub like, but we already felt the waitress was stressed. We tried ordering via app, because we waited so long for someone to take our order, but we could not download the app (it only works on british phones). We tried to get the waitresses attention a few times and when she finally took our order, again seemed annoyed and cold shouldered. The food was mediocre and in my case half cold and missing the chutney, which she brought after asking. All in all we didn't feel welcome at all and soon left.
